Dutch Hockey Academy is focusing on development and cooperation in national field hockey. In April 2010 they started as a new hockey development project in Morocco with the Hockey Maroc Academy and with the Moroccan Hockey Federation and in November 2010, signed a contract with the Ministry for Sports & the Moroccan Hockey Federation and 6 months hard work was awarded with a promising contract. For most of the players it was the first real experience with field hockey and the project led to a new national team for Morocco, for the first time in ten years. For the first time ever, Morocco participated in the African Games and the FIH World League first round in Portugal September 2012 playing against Italy, Scotland and Portugal.
