Part-Time Lead Junior Coaches
Lead Junior Coaches – Blackheath & Elthamians Hockey Club
We are looking to recruit experienced Junior Coaches to work with our inspirational Director of Junior Coaching Calum Giles (GB Olympian & Stickwise Founder) as we take the BEHC Junior Section to the next level. We are looking for talented, driven and ambitious coaches who are up to date with the latest developments in hockey and the EH structures.
The coaches will be required to help develop, design and then lead coaching sessions. They will take responsibility for team selection, tactics and game management at matches and tournaments. In addition you will provide help and guidance to respective assistant coaches and managers. Our programme runs from Sept to March (approx. 27 weeks) on Sunday mornings at our home at College Meadow, Lee, London SE12 9PH
We are particularly (but not exclusively) looking to recruit:
Mixed U6 Lead Coach
Boys U14 Lead Coach
Boys U16 Lead Coach
The club has a thriving and ever expanding junior section with over 300 U6-U16 boys and girls. We are looking for a coach who has a philosophy that will match the clubs identity and family ethos of fun and enjoyment whilst also recognising that we want to play engaging competitive hockey and support the promotion of juniors through the club to senior teams.
Under the leadership of our Director of Junior Coaching; Calum Giles, we have a strong team of Level 1 & 2 Coaches as well as several coaches that have attended GB coach programmes & workshops plus many Assistants, Young Leaders and Team Managers.
This is an exciting opportunity to further develop our growing and ambitious club and enable us to deliver an even better co-ordinated, engaging and clear training structure.
These are paid roles at the expected and appropriate national rates (approx. £35-45ph or contracted fee) The remuneration package will be dependent on your experience and qualifications plus subject to an agreed timetable.
In addition we run a series of Holiday Hockey Camps throughout the year with our partners at Stickwise. There may be opportunities to increase your involvement & remuneration with these programmes to the right candidate if desired.
