Part-Time Junior and Senior Coach
Salisbury Hockey Club is the largest club in South Wiltshire with 5 Men’s Teams, 5 Ladies Teams and a vibrant Junior Section. Our Ladies 1st XI play in South Central Prem Div. 2 and Men’s 1st XI in South Central Div. 1 South.
We co-own our custom-built facilities with South Wilts Cricket Club, one of Wiltshire’s leading cricket clubs, at the Skew Bridge on the west side of Salisbury.
Our club is focussed on providing an environment where every member of the club can play hockey to the best of their abilities in an inclusive and family friendly atmosphere. We pride ourselves in continuing to see multiple generations of families play for the club.
To further our desire to provide the opportunity to improve the hockey played throughout the club, we are looking to completely revise the way that coaching is delivered within the club under the guidance of Jon Royce, ex International Senior Head Coach.
Our goal is to apply a coordinated approach to coaching that will create a consistent strand of development across the whole club.
We are seeking to recruit a coaching team to provide professional coaching to Ladies’ & Men’s 1st and 2nd XIs and also boys and girls U18, U16, U14 & U12 squads. We currently anticipate a requirement for 5 hours of coaching per week spread across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 1800.
In addition to running the coaching sessions, the successful candidates will support the volunteer coaches who coach the remaining sides within the club.
