(Playing in the Investec Women’s Hockey League East Conference outdoor & English Hockey League Division 2 Indoor)

Are you passionate about hockey & improving yourself as a coach?

Can you coach and inspire a group of players with a wide range of experience?

Do you have experience of Video Analysis?

Are you a minimum Level 2 UK Hockey Coach?

Are you eligible to work in the UK (UK/EU passport or valid work permit)?

Are you looking for a long term coaching role?

If you can answer YES to the questions above then you could be the coach we are looking for.

Our team has a strong tradition of high level hockey having been in the National League for 27 Years (19 years in the Premier League). Returning to the National League last season after a two year absence, the team will be looking to consolidate their position at this level.

The team are also no stranger to Indoor success having reached the National finals on many an occasion and will be playing in Division 2 next season. The squad is a mixture of ages and experience and includes players with over 10 years National League experience as well as many looking to establish themselves at that level.

Our season runs from September to April, with pre-season normally starting in July.

The role involves:

o Pre-Season (starting in late July)

o 2 Training sessions per week.

o All match days at weekends (mainly Saturdays but maybe some Sunday games)

o Possibly the Indoor season depending on candidates experience (December to February)

This would ideally be a long term appointment with a yearly review at the end of every season. The appointed person will be expected to fulfil all the duties of a Head coach. This includes but is not limited to:
• Plan and deliver training sessions suitable for a team playing in the National League Hockey.
• Take part in weekly club and team selection.
• Deliver team tactics.
• Video analysis.
• Liaise with parents of junior players.
• Work with an Assistant coach and Manager.
• Travel with the team to all games.
• Player recruitment.
• Squad fitness.
• Work alongside other club coaches in delivery of the club development plan.

We will also consider the possibility of a Player/Coach for the right candidate.

You will need a minimum UK Level 2 coaching Qualification or equivalent and be eligible to work in the UK (UK/EU passport or valid work permit) and speak a good standard of English.

Experience of coaching at a high level is desirable, as is working with high calibre athletes and Junior Internationals.
