Casual Hockey Coach Goalkeeping Specialist
Casual position, likely working hours 10 per week during Ipswich School term time.
You will have an important role within our hockey department and will be responsible for helping to create players with a passion for the sport.
You will work with our hockey goalkeepers in 1:1 and small group sessions, as well as some wider team hockey sessions.
You need to be available to coach during the day during Ipswich School term time (initially on Tuesdays between 2.00 pm – 6.00 pm), and to coach after school for clubs and individual training (initially on Mondays from 1.00 pm – 6.00 pm), and to attend fixtures that may take place on Saturdays (although this is not essential). Working hours may be flexible dependent on the candidate.
You will ideally have experience playing and/or coaching at a high level. You will need to demonstrate the skills needed to work with young people and deliver a programme of excellence.
The hourly rate of pay for coaching work (for a fully qualified/experienced coach) is usually in the region of £20.54 per hour. Pay rates will be discussed at interview and will be dependent on your skills and experience. Holiday pay will be calculated and paid each term in accordance with the Working Time Directive and will be based on the number of hours worked each term. Pay arrangements for home/away fixtures on Saturdays will be discussed at interview.
Staff are able to use the School’s swimming pool and fitness suite free of charge (in compliance with appropriate rules and regulations). Lunch can be taken in the School’s dining hall on the days you are working in School. In line with workplace pension legislation, you will be entitled to join a defined contribution pension scheme if you wish to do so.
