We look forward to being able to support and showcase the many paid and volunteer jobs in Hockey that need help to be filled. I have been part of hockey for a long time playing and coaching in many different locations, so I really enjoy helping people fulfill their hockey dreams and being involved at all levels of the game.”
The page has five featured hockey jobs live at any one time and links to many others on the Recruitment 4 Hockey website.

Alderley Edge Hockey Club in Cheshire, England is a thriving village club running 7 men’s teams, 6 Ladies teams and has 300 junior members. The Club works closely with local primary and secondary schools to develop junior players. Recently a local Secondary School , The King’s School in Macclesfield were looking to add to their hockey coaching team and Alderley Edge Hockey Club offered to help them recruit for the position.
The club contacted Recruitment 4 Hockey about the position. A role at the school for a quality coach who could play for the Men’s first team at weekends and deliver some junior coaching sessions at the Club.
A speedy and simple registration process with Recruitment 4 Hockey saw an advert quickly up on the website and many candidates were soon applying from South America, Europe, Pakistan , New Zealand and Australia.
One candidate stood out as a great fit for school and Club. Australian born Ciaran Sanders had both an educational qualification , a Graduate Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science gained at Edith Cowan University in W.A Australia, . Ciaran, from Perth had been working in London as a supply teacher and played cricket in England at Pershore, Worcestershire. His hockey background gained as a volunteer coach at Modernians equipped him well for the job in England.
Ciaran attended interviews at the school and the recruitment process saw him deliver a trial session at the school to a group of old boys. His confident delivery and calm assured style won over students and the Head school coach. It was a tough decision for the school who interviewed 3 excellent candidates.
Ciaran is now working at the school and playing for the Mens 1st team in the Northern Premier League. He’s a big hit with everyone at the school and club and much liked and respected.
Alderley Edge Hockey Club found the relationship with Recruitment 4 Hockey to be highly beneficial and great value for money. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending them to anyone looking to recruit coaches , players or hockey professionals.

We have chatted to some of our Hockey clubs and coaches to see want they are looking for when searching for new players.
When applying for a player opportunity having a good CV of your playing back ground is a good start and if your applying for a College you will also need good grades at school. Showing a little bit about who you are and want it is you will bring to there to team are just as big as your past playing history.
Coaches were looking for things like: Are you coach able, Team Player, what extra skill you have like PC push out, do love training as much as you love playing, What fitness you do for Hockey and for Fun and who you are as a person. Do you have great basic skills.
Having a good Field Hockey video can help you when your trying to promote your self and to stand out to find a great university or new hockey club, See Carla in Action as she looks to find her dream Div 1 College in the US.
So next time your applying to one of our Hockey opportunities add a short clip of your skill & game high lights, a good CV and what you will bring to the team.
Thanks to Carla Godsman for allowing us to use her Hockey video
