Salary – £34,189 to £39,609 per annum plus USS Pension benefits
Swansea University and Hockey Wales are seeking an exceptional individual to join this ambitious and fast-growing University to drive forward a new University High Performance Hockey Programme and the Wales U23 Women’s Development Programme.
Based at the Swansea University International Sports Village with two water-based hockey pitches, the Head of Hockey will be instrumental in driving forward the development, management and implementation of a new hockey strategy in conjunction with the University Head of Sport, the new Swansea Hockey Board and Hockey Wales.
The post offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced coach to transform hockey in Swansea, to accelerate achievements in BUCS, Welsh and the English Hockey Leagues. You will be responsible for building a culture of excellence, developing a coordinated coaching structure, and assisting in the recruitment of talented hockey players via the University Sports Scholarship and Coaching Programmes. You will hold a Level 3 coaching qualification, have an extensive track record in coaching high level and talented young players, experience of working in partnership with external agencies, and have excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills.
