Role: Head Coach Kelburne Ladies 1st Team
About the Club – Kelburne Hockey Club currently runs 5 mens and 3 ladies teams as well as several junior teams. The team is based in Paisley with games played at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre, site of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Ladies 1st Team – The club is looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to take up the role of Ladies 1st team coach ahead of the 2017- 18 season. The team are established within National League Division 1 and are looking to push for the top 4 over the coming seasons. The team has a large number of players who represent at District and National level.
Role – The successful candidate will be qualified to a minimum of level 2 (or working towards) and will report directly to the Director of Hockey who will act on behalf of the club’s management committee. Access to off field support in terms of strength and conditioning as well as video analysis will be available if required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
To lead the coaching team responsible for the Ladies 1st team
Plan the coaching programme for the season. (Technical, Tactical & Physical)g
Plan, prepare and deliver individual coaching sessions for the Ladies 1st team.
Ensure that all sessions are designed to develop the skills and understanding of the
players in your squad.
Evaluate all coaching sessions and games with the coaching team and players. (Video Analysis and Feedback of games)
Attend all coaching sessions, matches involved with the Ladies 1st team.
Mentor and advise assistant coaches and players where appropriate.
Provide feedback to coaches, players and appropriate Kelburne HC committees
Liase with 2nd team Coach/Captain on team selection
Attend operations committee on a monthly basis to discuss squad selection.
Work in partnership with national coaches to develop national players within the club
Player/coaches will also be considered.
Requirements – The successful candidate will undergo a Scottish Hockey PVG check prior to taking up the role.
Salary – Salary is negotiable.
