Community Club Development Officer – Mid Wales

Main Duties and Responsibilities
1 Take lead responsibility for club development in a designated region, developing opportunities to strengthen clubs through business modelling, developing new approaches in identified priority areas and continued club growth.
2 Support clubs to generate income and increase capacity to support the development and implementation of club development plans.
3 Supporting the implementation of educational programmes ensuring sustained community and school links are suitably established with clubs.
4 Support school- club links to ensure we have happier, better players feeding into clubs and a confident workforce to deliver hockey.
5 Take national lead responsibility in a designated area (eg. Initiatives; schools; volunteers; Inclusion), to ensure consistency across Wales.
6 Co-ordinate delivery of localised recreational competitive opportunities, engaging with key partners and stakeholders.
7 Lead the POD (Partnerships that Own the Development of Hockey) approach in your Region, ensuring stakeholders are fully engaged to support.
8 Co-ordinating the delivery and implementation of Hockey Wales’ programmes and policies in your region.
9 Support volunteers and community coach development, sign post and support transitions to appropriate exit routes.
10 Where required support the growth of workforce, through course delivery, best practice visits and coach developer engagement.
