1st XI Player and Junior Section Coach
The role of Junior Section Coach is to provide coaching, umpiring and team management to the Junior Hockey section at George Watson’s College and The Watsonian Hockey Club.
Coach at any U12, U14, U16, U18 (boys and girls) training sessions as agreed with Junior Section Head Coach
Junior Section Coaches are expected to be able to lead small groups (10-15) under supervision of head coach and to input into session plans
Umpire/Manage any junior section teams (U10 – U18) as required by Junior Section Head Coach
Such duties will be required in full season (Sept to April inclusive)
In addition, the junior section coach must play to a high level – the Watsonian Hockey Club is a first division side in Scotland and we are seeking new players to help the team compete for the League.
In return for fulfilling such duties, the package offered will be:-
Travel costs to/from Edinburgh (one trip only per season)
Suitable accommodation to be arrange by The Watsonian Hockey (typically in a shared (2 bedroom) flat with other Junior Section Coach
The monthly rental costs (excluding utility costs) will be deducted from the monthly coaching earnings.
A typical month would earn approx 96 hours @ £15hour = £1,440. For overseas players, the typical rental cost would be £400/month leaving approx £1,040 month.
